In the first game they could sense things down there and send boons but nothing could respond or be sent back to them (Zagreus being unable to speak back to them) the ambrosia mechanic is a tiny little hole in that rule but it is a game so it's not that serious. Īlso, the underworld doesn't seem like it allows the gods to enter easily. Maybe Melinoe's parentage is false and we'll learn that in the game but for now it seems pretty simple. We'll see when the game comes out but I doubt it's this other Chronos as Hades seems to be about family again. Maybe if it was on Earth but Chronos is likely in the underworld which is the domain of Hades and we also don't know how hard the battle with the titans was in this particular game universe. It may be that Zeus or the other gods can't interfere in the way the want to. It took all the gods and how many movies or games show the Greek gods being powerful but choosing to do nothing, even Ares says it in the first game: how he seldom gets to intervene or interfere with the world. And it does make sense because Zeus didn't beat him alone. They just chose to lean into the whole time thing.
